Digital Shelter Design
Dasanie Pena
Over break, I had been extremely sick and unable to go out in the very cold winter conditions. In order to still partially complete the assignment without the cold. I was practically dying. My mom thought I had pneumonia and did not want me to go outside. So I created a digital design for my shelter using Google Draw.
The materials in my shelter include branches, a tree, a plastic tarp, and logs. I formed this idea from researching online and seeing multiple images of very successful shelters in the photographs below with some few adjustments. My shelter compiled the many different ideas to create the ideal shelter.

After about 15 minutes of research, I started to plan. The back of the shelter has a tree to support the roof. The floor of my shelter has the plastic tarp to keep the people within the shelter dry. The walls of my shelter have multiple branches held at an angle. These branches keep the people in the shelter warm from the cold. The wall of the shelter is supported by a middle log in the roof held up by two side logs.
In spite of my very sick state, I found this assignment very interesting.
